ADSL internet service has variety of types with the speed, type of router, USB and other devices that are on it (check dial-up internet). For example there can be used for two computers using a USB connection, but there also can be used to four computers with an Ethernet LAN connection. But it’s good in choosing an ADSL modem, we chose to use a modem that has a button on and off. This is intended so that we can regulate the use of the connection as much as we need and save the cost of connection is used.
Another important thing which is owned by the ADSL modem is a useful indicator lights to know the process connection. Generally light there are lights on ADSL modem PPP, Power, dsl . There are also additional lights when we use an Ethernet connection and USB.
Of the three indicator lights on the modem, the most important is the PPP and DSL lights. Where the DSL light indicates a connection has been properly connected to the line. While the PPP lights indicate the presence of data flow when a person browsing.
Once the device is complete, it is important in the use of ADSL modem and IP is the use of passwords. It is used to protect the use of services for consumers provided by the provider. IP that we have will be a gate to enter the network. If we change the password to login, then we need to re-enter the appropriate changes made. When the whole process is successfully passed, then the next we are able to connect the Internet with ADSL.
ADSL advantages:
- Dividing the frequency into two, namely to deliver high-frequency data, while the low frequency to deliver voice and fax.
- ADSL makes use of the Internet activities become much cheaper. So that we can surf without worry with a bloated bill.
